Life List

In April of 2004, I wrote a "Life List" at the encouragement of my senior english teacher. The following are the 101 things I listed, without editing: (XX marks the things I have done / Xx marks the things I have done but would like to do more or again / x marks the things I am currently working on).

  1. Graduate high school XX
  2. Get my young women in excellence award XX
  3. Graduate college XX
  4. Get married (to the BEST!) in the temple XX
  5. Keep a temple recommend throughout my life x
  6. Raise a family
  7. Serve in the Relief Society Xx, Primary, and Young Womens
  8. Design the interior of my own home
  9. Have a clean and organized house x
  10. Make my bed everyday x
  11. Keep up on my kids' histories/scrapbooks
  12. Stay best friends forever with Buggie-Boo (my sister) x
  13. Be a motivational speaker
  14. Go on an LDS mission with my husband in my later years
  15. Study the entire standard works Xx
  16. Read ShakespeareX, PlatoX, AristotleX, DickensX, Thoreau, RosseaeuX, Hemingway, TwainX, Talmage, Longfellow, Keats, PoeX, Bacon, and Emerson
  17. Complete an extensive college reading list

  100. Never be an old fogey--build chocolate milk bubble blowing towers, sculpt turtles out of butter, jump in puddles and run around my neighborhood singing at the top of my lungs even when I'm 60 x
  101. Live to be at least 83. x
